ABALONE MUSHROOM

It has been successfully tested and cultivated in substrate bags with environment control at our local farm, with the use of imported organic mushroom spawn from China. These mushrooms are usually light brownish gray in color, has a creamy cap size up to 50mm-120mm wide in a round shape with stem. They are grown largely for their thick meaty edible stem which has a firm but tender texture and a mild, sweet taste. They provide high protein and essential amino acids. Low in fat and high in fiber, they also provide vitamins which stimulate the immune system. They contain mushroom protein that is comparable to high quality animal protein. It is superior to vegetables and cereal proteins. Hence, it can substitute non-vegetable diet and provide a valuable source of high quality proteins to vegetarians.
